No Cartography Scramble

Exciting and unusual as it may have been to experience voting in a measure to form a brand new county, we in this little corner of the Golden State can probably rest for awhile now that this has gone down in flames. Hopefully Jim Diani and his ilk will shutthefuckup now that we've spent untold tens of thousands of dollars on mounting this measure, conducting fiscal viability studies, and so forth.

Below, the results. Majorities of the voters in each of the proposed new counties would have needed to approve the measure in order for it to take effect.

My final thoughts:

DOWN WITH REFERENDA, PROPOSITIONS, AND BALLOT MEASURES!! Quit paying $6.76 per hour to dreadlocked, patchouli-stinking college dropouts to harass us in the parking lots of Whole Foods while our non-genetically-modified, organic soy frozen dessert melts. We don't want to be asked, "Ma'am? Sign a petition to stop psycho vatos from smacking down grandma at the city hospital?" We just wanna get home and start snacking on our wasabi-encrusted macarona almonds and let Sacramento or City Hall do they jobs! Mm hmm!
