There's a Rainbow in the Sky

OK. It's a good day.

Found out I'm "approved" for the apartment just around the block from my current digs, on "Grand Ave." (one of probably very few non-Hispano street apellations in town). I'm happy with it: a somewhat funky old, high-ceilinged, Victorian-esque large studio with "sunroom" (essentially another room), fireplace (not sure if it's functional, but looks good), wood floors (albeit beaten up), etc. Even better, it's only $825/mo including utilities.

Sigh. It's amazing how stress-free life is when no longer faced with the prospect of (a) being homeless, (b) being forced to live in an ugly 12'x12' box, or (c) paying $1000 a month for aforementioned box even though it only has a microwave and micro-fridge!

I owe Shannon & David bigtime now for putting in a good word for me at the property manager's (David's former employer). Positive visualization also may not have hurt. (ummm, see the "Hippy is so 1968" previous entry...)
